Industrias Aguayo presents it new artistic tile collection

This collection was  designed by students of architecture, interior design, graphic design, fine arts and industrial design from renowned universities in the Dominican Republic. Proceeds from the sales of these tiles will benefit Fe y Alegria, a non-profit organization which has been well involved with childhood education in this country.

The students visited Aguayo’s manufacturing facilities in order to fully comprehend the artisanal manufacturing methods of this type of tile so that they could develop their designs taking into consideration all of the advantages of cement tiles. More than 80 proposals were submitted and carefully evaluated by a jury composed of Dr. Thimo Pimentel, Architect Carmen Ortega, Jorge Aguayo and Interior Designer Patricia Reid. Six final designs were chosen based on 3 main criteria: artistic value, manufacturing feasibility and commercial potential, and now conform Aguayo’s newest artistic collection called “Porvenir”, which means outlook.
